The impact of plastic bag towards our environment is obvious. Recently ,the California State Assembly has announced the bans of single-use plastic bags across the state.

Technically, the law isn't banned use of plastic bags ,plastic bags will still be available to purchase.It is considering banning the distribution of plastic shopping bags by retail stores and supermarkets for FREE. 


And this is good news to our environment: less waste in the landfill, less trash in the environment, less oil used ( petroleum is raw materiel to make plastic) and so on.Good Move California...

Around 500,000 plastic bags are collected during Clean Up Australia Day each year. (Clean Up Australia Day is a nationwide initiative to get as many members of the public to get out and pick up litter from their local areas.)

4. Most plastic bags take over 400 years to biodegrade. Some figures indicate that plastic bags could take over 1000 years to break down. (I guess nobody will live long enough to find out!). This means not one plastic bag has ever naturally biodegraded.

5.Us of new Plastic bags are a wasteful habit.It's certainly convenient to get new plastic bags every time you go grocery shopping, but in some ways it's also embarrassing how we over consume even though we know these bags are harmful to the environment.
