Beware Air Pollution When Buying House

What is Air Pollution?

Based on what condition can clog air filters and deposit particulate matter into the indoor environment..You Don't Know What is Air Population Until You Live in this Apartment .

Outdoor Air Enter a House?

Outdoor air enters and leaves a house by: infiltration, natural ventilation, and mechanical ventilation. In a process known as infiltration, outdoor air flows into the house through openings, joints, and cracks in walls, floors, and ceilings, and around windows and doors. In natural ventilation, air moves through opened windows and doors. Air movement associated with infiltration and natural ventilation is caused by air temperature differences between indoors and outdoors and by wind. Finally, there are a number of mechanical ventilation devices, from outdoor-vented fans that intermittently remove air from a single room, such as bathrooms and kitchen, to air handling systems that use fans and duct work to continuously remove indoor air and distribute filtered and conditioned outdoor air to strategic points throughout the house. The rate at which outdoor air replaces indoor air is described as the air exchange rate. When there is little infiltration, natural ventilation, or mechanical ventilation, the air exchange rate is low and pollutant levels can increase.

Fire At will! At Greek Firework War

Geek War....We were ordered to fire at will!

The "missile" fireball burning all over the sky.I wonder if that was a real missile or rocket…

It is a Firework Battle ,Firework Fight At Greek.
It happened during the July 1st weekend: The firework battle. The "missile" fireball burning all over the sky.I wonder if that was a real missile or rocket…

It wasn’t bad. I think the problem was that we don't have some sort of PAAMS (Principal Anti-Air Missile System)for firework...

12 Life Saving facts About Tornadoes

We have seen more tornadoes these recent years then ever before, our technology has improved a lot, despite improved warnings and forecasts over the past few decades, tornadoes still cause many deaths each year,we should always stay alert, someday we might get another killer tornado and it will catch everyone off guard since we are so believe in our forecasts system. Our population has grown over the last 30-40 years with more houses and businesses that would be affected.

To learn a little more about these violent storms, check out our previous post on 10 Most Damaging Tornado of All Time, you might also interested to find out How Tornado hitting a Car.

Below listed  12 facts that illustrate how destructive tornadoes can be , where they can occur and how to prepare for them.

1. How do tornadoes form?
Tornadoes form where warm moist air is trapped underneath a layer of cold, dry air. This instability is upset when the warm bottom layer gets pushed up — either by heating near the ground, or by an influx of cold air.

As the moist air rises, it cools, forming clouds and thunderstorms. If the conditions are right, the rapidly rising air will spin around a central funnel, at speeds sometimes exceeding 250 mph. A tornado technically is born when this funnel cloud touches down on the ground.Although tornadoes are more frequent in the afternoon, they can happen anytime, even at night.

2. Where do tornadoes form?
Tornadoes can occur almost anywhere in the world, but the United States is the country with the highest frequency of tornadoes. About 1,000 tornadoes hit the United States each year.

Twisters strike predominantly along Tornado Alley — a flat stretch of land from west Texas to North Dakota. The region is ideal for tornadoes, as dry polar air from Canada meets warm moist tropical air from the Gulf of Mexico.

3. Do tornadoes occur only in the spring?

While tornado season — the time of year that historically produces the most tornadoes — runs from early spring through mid-summer, tornadoes can happen any time of year if the conditions are right. Essentially, this is any time when warm and cool air masses collide.

4. What state gets hit by the most tornadoes?
That would be Texas, which averages 125 tornadoes every year. Oklahoma comes in next with about 57 tornadoes per year, with Kansas and Florida following close behind with 55 each. Florida of course is much smaller, and therefore has more twisters per square mile than anywhere else.

5. What month has the most tornadoes?
May is typically the month in which most tornadoes occur, followed by June. The record for most tornadoes in any month (since record keeping began in 1950) was set in May 2003, with 543 tornadoes confirmed in the final numbers.

6. How much damage can tornadoes cause?
That all depends on how big the storm is and how fast its winds are whipping around. The Fujita scale, named for the scientist who developed it, ranks tornado strength based on the damage they cause. The scale runs from F0 to F5; the most violent tornadoes, F4 and above, account for less than 1 percent of all tornadoes, but account for 70 percent of tornado-related deaths.

These terrifying twisters can level a house and lift up a car and fling it 100 yards away. F2s and F3s can tear off roofs, destroy mobile homes and lift cars off the ground. F0s and F1s will break tree branches, damage signs and take off a few roof shingles.

7. What's the difference between hurricane and tornado damage?
It's mostly a matter of scale. Tornadoes have much higher wind speeds, so most of the damage wrought by them is wind-related. But they are much smaller and so cause damage over a smaller area than hurricanes. Most damage from hurricanes comes from flooding and storm surge.

8. What was the deadliest tornado outbreak?
The deadliest outbreak came on April 3, 1974, when a two-day "Super Outbreak" of 147 tornadoes killed 308 people in 13 states.
The deadliest single tornado was the "Tri-state" tornado that killed 695 people along a 219 mile long track across parts of Missouri, Illinois and Indiana on March 18, 1925.

9. What city has been hit by the most tornadoes?
Oklahoma City has been hit by a staggering 100 tornadoes; the earliest recorded tornado there was in 1893. The most-hit city count can change based on how city limits are defined, but when considering a 20-mile radius around a city of 100,000 or more, Oklahoma City is in the lead, followed by Huntsville, Ala.

10. What is the highest elevation a tornado has occurred at?
This isn't known for sure, but scientists with the National Weather Service say it is at least over 10,000 feet above sea level.

The NWS website lists a tornado observed and photographed by a hiker at 12,000 feet in Sequoia National Park, California, on July 7, 2004, as the likely candidate for highest elevation tornado known.

The highest altitude ever recorded for a violent tornado was between 8,500 and 10,000 feet elevation in Wyoming — an F4 tornado struck there on July 21, 1987.

11. How do I prepare for a tornado?
Keep abreast of local weather forecasts and listen for watches and warnings. Having a weather radio in the house is also a good idea.

Have a family plan in place so you can quickly find shelter. Basements and storm cellars are the best place to take shelter, but if you don't have either one, head to a bathroom, closet or any other interior rooms away from windows.

Don't bother opening windows to equalize the pressure in the house — it's a waste of time and the tornado will take care of that for you if it does hit your house.
If you're in a car, get out and head for sturdy shelter or a low, flat spot. Don't take shelter under a bridge, which is highly dangerous.

12. What's the difference between a tornado watch and a tornado warning?
A tornado watch defines an area (usually displayed on meteorologists' maps) where tornadoes and other kinds of severe weather are likely in the next few hours. If you're in such an area, be alert.

A warning means that a tornado has been spotted or that radar has shown circulation in a storm that could spawn a tornado. Warnings mean you should seek shelter immediately.

Recognition of tornadic damage
Neil Stuart (presently at the Wakefield, VA office of the National Weather Service) has raised some interesting points via e-mail correspondence. In some cases, there is very strong horizontal wind shear in storms (even tropical cyclones) ...

(Fig.1)A schematic look at the "roll up" of a vortex sheet, where the shear line at the surface reflects a vertical sheet of vorticity. In (a), the vorticity (stippling) is spread out along the shear line; in (b) and (c), the vorticity becomes increasingly concentrated into discrete vorticity centers as the roll up proceeds. In this example, the sense of the vorticity is associated with a clockwise vortex, but the argument is independent of the sign of the vorticity.

The wind speeds associated with such wind shear can attain damaging values and so create damage paths. Obviously, this is true for thunderstorms, since they produce strong outflows (often called downbursts). Along the flanks of a downburst, strong horizontal gradients of the wind can be found, and such shears can be associated with substantial vorticity (both cyclonic and anticyclonic).

In theory, such "sheets" of horizontal wind shear are unstable and should "roll up" (Fig.1) into a series of discrete vortices; in the process, the shear line's vorticity (originally spread out along the line) becomes concentrated into a number of vortices.

Gulf of Mexico oil spill Continue

While the world are celebrating the glory of WORLD CUP 2010 let's not forget there are some thing out there haven't been solved.

Gulf of Mexico oil spill Continue...
The growing oil slick fed by an underwater leak in a BP has creates environmental damage far beyond imagination.NEW ORLEANS Government officials has announced that oil might be leaking from a well in the Gulf of Mexico at a rate five times that suggested.

Oil slick threatening wildlife ,Around 1,000 barrels of oil a day are gushing from a leaking underwater well after last week’s explosion on board an offshore drilling rig..

Is it a Gold?

At risk is a rich breeding ground for shrimp, crabs and fish as well as an endangered species of sea turtle. Wildlife experts say they are seriously concerned about the devastation the oil will wreak.Damages and loses that money can't buy..

Rubbish+Trash - Recycle =Disaster

It gonna be trash disaster, did you know? we human produced nearly 10,000,000,000 tons rubbish every year, the problem is the ability for us to dispose, recycle those rubbish's are not 100%.(not even close)we just can't catch up the speed where trash were produced.

We are in the trash crisis. We live in the trash time: we produce trash and we become trash. For this the Germany artist HA Schult's ' has created "Trash People"the work kind of reflect our world sooner or later will be defected by "trash"..

Certainly the army of trash here conquers the world.iT isn't a war (YET), The Trash People of H.A. Schult first appeared in 1996, at an amphitheater in Xanten, Germany. and soate thrighout the word."trash are The environmental problem and it is a global problem..

6 Reasons Why You Should Drop Plastic Bags

The impact of plastic bag towards our environment is obvious. Recently ,the California State Assembly has announced the bans of single-use plastic bags across the state.

Technically, the law isn't banned use of plastic bags ,plastic bags will still be available to purchase. It is considering banning the distribution of plastic shopping bags by retail stores and supermarkets for FREE.

And this is good news to our environment: less waste in the landfill, less trash in the environment, less oil used ( petroleum is raw materiel to make plastic) and so on.Good Move California...

Around 500,000 plastic bags are collected during Clean Up Australia Day each year. (Clean Up Australia Day is a nationwide initiative to get as many members of the public to get out and pick up litter from their local areas.)

Did you know San Francisco's lead in banning the use of plastic bags? other big cities including Oakland, Berkeley, Boston, Portland, and Los Angeles,The state of Hawaii's Legislature and many others big cities including Beijing.Note that Beijing has banned plastic Bags more earlier that California,China uses around 3 billion plastic bags each day!

For you information, according to the state Assembly's analysis. Californians use a stunning 19 billion plastic bags every year, which is average 552 plastic bag per person.Charging a nominal fee for each one will slash those numbers by huge margins, if the precedents are any indicators. In Washington DC, for instance, plastic bag use dropped from 22 million to 3 million a month after the 5 cent ban took effect.

Fact About Plastic Bags and the effect to the environment:

* Plastic bags cause over 100,000 sea turtle and other marine animal deaths every year when animals mistaken them for food.

Reasons Why You Should Drop Plastic Bags

1. The manufacture of plastic bags add tonnes of carbon emissions into the air annually.

2. In the UK, banning plastic bags would be the equivalent of taking 18,000 cars off the roads each year

3. Approximately 60 - 100 million barrels of oil are required to make the world’s plastic bags each year.

4. Most plastic bags take over 400 years to biodegrade. Some figures indicate that plastic bags could take over 1000 years to break down. (I guess nobody will live long enough to find out!). This means not one plastic bag has ever naturally biodegraded.

5.Us of new Plastic bags are a wasteful habit. It's certainly convenient to get new plastic bags every time you go grocery shopping, but in some ways it's also embarrassing how we over consume even though we know these bags are harmful to the environment.

6.Each year, approximately 500 billion to 1 trillion plastic bags are consumed worldwide. That’s over one million bags per minute. Billions of them end up as litter each year. 60,000 Plastic Bags are Being every Second.

The time you finished this post,it could be 1,000,000 plastic bags end up as litter..Bad Habit... Just drop it.
